Hyper-Local Gift Baskets

Hyper-Local Gourmet Food Baskets

Father’s Day is quickly approaching, as is the first day of summer and the end of school!

For Father’s Day, I wanted to create the perfect gift every Dad will enjoy. Finding gifts for guys is often super challenging especially ones they actually like and will use. Food is almost always a hit with guys, especially gourmet food you wouldn’t normally treat yourself to at the grocery store. Couple this with the fact that we’ve been social distancing for 11+ weeks in Ontario and it’s having a significant impact on our small local businesses. I decided to partner with seven, yes 7, GTA-based restaurants and shops to curate the perfect hyper-local gourmet food baskets imaginable!

Choose from:

  • Taste of Toronto: contains something from 7 GTA-based restaurants and shops
  • Backyard BBQ Basket: featuring product from 4 GTA-based restaurants and shops
  • Coffee and Chocolate Lovers Basket: filled product from 3 GTA-based restaurants and shops
  • or Build Your Own Basket and create a completely customized gift for your recipient!

These baskets are perfect for Father’s Day but also work well for:

  • Teacher Thank You Gifts (if you have a delivery address)
  • Thanking an Essential Worker
  • Birthdays
  • Or any other occasion!

Each basket can be customized with a handmade greeting card for the occasion.  I make the Greeting Cards in house and am happy to design the perfect card for any occasion!

All baskets will be delivered the week of June 13-21st.  Additional quantities may be available to purchase after this depending on availability.

Our Partners:

Barque BBQ: Barque Smokehouse opened in Toronto’s west-end Roncesvalles Village in 2011. Their goal being to serve fresh protein dishes that don’t compromise on flavour, a Family-style and fun atmosphere, and adherence to scratch cooking – preparing food using basic ingredients rather than buying meals that have already been prepared.  Our baskets feature Barque BBQ’s signature BBQ sauces, choice of Texas or Carolina, and their signature BBQ rubs (choice of chicken, beef or pork).

M Thompson ChocolatesChocolate is a way of life for Marni and Alvin, the team behind Thompson Chocolates.  Thompson Chocolates are all made by hand in Leslieville, Toronto using tradition chocolate making techniques and nature, high-quality ingredients.

No7 Hot SauceNo.7 Mexican Hot Sauce was established 2013 in the Junction Triangle, in west Toronto by the husband and wife who own the coffee shop called Café Con Leche.  No.7 Hot Sauce products are made in Canada, all Natural, Vegan, Peanut & Gluten Free, No added Salt or Sugar.  Our baskets feature a choice of No7’s Original Habanero Hot Sauce and Papaya Sweet Heat.

Outpost Coffee RoastersOutpost Coffee Roasters is a speciality-grade small batch, craft coffee roastery based in West Toronto.  Outpost embraces seasonality, uniqueness and innovation and doesn’t try to create commodity products.  Outpost celebrates the differences in each individual crop.  Our baskets feature your choice of three of Outposts best selling coffee varieties including an espresso blend called The Underdog, Outpost’s signature dark roast called La Madrugada and a medium roast called El Salvador – Las Nubes – Women Produced.

Ray Woodey’s Craft Chippery: Ray Woodey was a potato chip veteran and has worked in the potato chip industry for many years. Instead of bringing potato chips from the factory to the store he decided to have the factory in the store for the freshest potato chips possible. Ray Woodey’s Craft Chippery’s vision is to bring fresh quality chips closer to our customer.  Once you’ve tasted Ray’s fresh chips, there’s no going back to factory chips!  Our baskets feature a choice of three of Ray’s chip best-selling flavours: Backyard BBQ potato chips, Salt and Malt potato chips and Gourmet chips which are a mix of Cassava, Taro and Sweet Potato.

San Remo Bakery:  San Remo bakery has been a fixture in South Etobicoke for over 50 years.  Select baskets feature their homemade marinara sauce and dried pasta.

Toronto Popcorn Company: Toronto Popcorn Company was established in 2013 as a one-kettle-one-flavour, weekend-only affair in the city’s festival scenery. Hopping from one pop-up event to another, TOPopcornCo. would soon find a home in Kensington Market. What used to be a modest offering of just Old Fashioned Kettle Corn and Movie Style popcorn eventually spanned into a gamut of flavours — a treasure trove of treats, if you may — where every patron and new customer can find something their palates can relate to.  Our baskets feature 4 of Toronto Popcorn’s most popular flavours: Maple Bacon, Espresso Caramel, Buffalo Kick and Cheddar Cheese.
